Kate Chopin’s life is like mine in the aspect that we are both women and we both are writers. I love writing and using my experiences to create my work. It makes the writing more relatable and this is what Kate Chopin did in her writings. Experiences help mold us and get our minds thinking. Kate Chopin also relates to me because of her advocacy for women. It is difficult trying to live in a man’s world. I am the only girl in my household, so some things are different for me. I always knew that things would not be the same. Like Chopin, I pushed the envelope so I can do more. In the end, I think this is what makes Kate Chopin special.
