Flannery O’Connor used irony in the story. She also had parts that foreshadowed to the ending. With that being said, the story was not as shocking as it could have been. Even though I knew the family was going to die, I did not know when they were going to die. The car accident did trick me because I thought that would be the cause. Although when it said that no one was hurt it made me wonder. When they saw the car and met the Misfit, I knew then that was how they were going to die. The end of the story really wrapped up the story great. All the things said in the beginning had a reaction to them. It was a great story to read. The grandmother made me think of my grandmother. It also made me think of my family and the family trip we are about to take. I hope that we stay safe.
