“The Story of an Hour” was my least favorite story. It is my least favorite story because I did not like the ending. Mrs. Mallard almost got freedom then it was stript away and she died. What kind of story is that? A woman was denied her freedom. Mrs. Mallard hadn’t gotten freedom during her whole existence. She thought she had it then boom her husband is not really dead. She was happy and optimistic. The story said that the friend made sure it was true. How could the husband still be alive? It seemed like a set up to me. I feel like there should have been more to that story. it happened to fast. I know it was a short story, but Kate Chopin could have made it longer. I still like her stories. This is the only reason why I would say keep it. I would not want to write a paper on this story though.
